Software-Click Enters Phase 2

Software-click.com launched in 2009 as a listing of software for download. The site is easy to use and has a powerful search, that will dig up most software titles available on the web.

There have been performance problems in the past which led to the quest to a new provider. With the new server hosted by Silverrack software-click.com is not only a lot more performant, it also takes one step further towards carbon neutrality. "We try to minimize our footprint by offsetting the damage we do. Silverrack claims to offset it's carbon footprint, so that's a good step. We also avoid the use of any kind of motorized vehicle for work and plan to switch to energy from wind and water for our office." (V.Mayr - CEO of waveCommerce UG)

The other big improvement is the integration of discounts: Now each Category features a section of "discounts" that can be toggled away. Currently more than 500 discount coupons are offered. The team hopes to include more discounts for all manufacturers (that are willing to provide rebates) on software-click in the near future.

"We currently think about our own rebate system, where we pay customers out of our sales provision. We just have to figure out the payment procedure. If we find a secure way to track and pay, we will probably connect it with the advanced community functionality that we are working on." (V.Mayr)
